Celebrating the best deals, firms, banks and individuals making an impact in the Central and East of England regions was the focus at Insider’s Central & East Dealmakers Awards 2025, held at the Hilton DoubleTree in Milton Keynes in November.
One of the highlights of the evening came when Praetura Commercial Finance were announced as the winner of the Alternative Finance Provider of the Year Award.
The judges referenced being impressed that our team had see an increase of 75 per cent in funding provided to Central and East businesses during the qualifying period. They also highlighted Praetura’s loan book doubling in two years, exceeding the £500m milestone at the end of last year.
On hand to collect the award on the evening were Praetura Commercial’s Sales Director, Jeff Greenfield, Managing Director, Lisa Wood, and Relationship Director, Nicola Woodhams.

This is the second award that Praetura Commercial have picked up in 2025, having been named the winner in the Alternative Funder of the Year category at the Insider South East Dealmakers Awards 2025 in February. The company has also been shortlisted in the Alternative Funder of the Year category at the Insider Midlands Dealmakers Awards, in the Asset Based Lending Team of the Year category at the Insider North West Dealmakers Awards and in the Debt Funder of the Year category at the Yorkshire Insider Dealmakers Awards this year.
